Sarah Kencel, LCSW
Licensed clinical social worker specializing in DBT and CBT for teens, young adults and adults.
Sarah holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MSW from New York University. She completed her field placements at Lenox Hill Hospital’s Outpatient Mental Health Center and Hospital for Special Surgery.
She is one of just ten DBT-Linehan Board Certified clinicians in Connecticut and is A-CBT certified through the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. She is also trained in SPACE, an intervention that focuses on behavior modification by reducing parental accommodations for children with anxiety, and in 2018 she completed an intensive training program in psychodynamic psychotherapy (IPPP) at the William Alanson White Institute in New York.
Raised in Greenwich, Sarah has an intimate understanding of the social and cultural topography of Fairfield County.
